"Many years have past after Bocato and Vitor Santos (some of the greatest Brazilian trombone players).

Now this young trombonist appeared, with a huge talent and beautiful and melodious phrases. Keep on this path Jorginho. It will be good for Brazilian music."
Raul de Souza

Jorginho Neto began his musical life at age 13, playing trombone at the church. When he was 18, joined the University of Music Tom Jobim (former ULM). He studied with Walter Azevedo (popular trombone) and graduated with 22 years of age, but not before winning a jazz festival sponsored by the university, in the category of instrumental soloist, what gave him the opportunity to enter the orchestra Tom Jobim, under the baton of maestro Roberto Sion.
Since then, the young musician had his talent recognized around the country, being invited to play with artists as Frank Sinatra Jr, Roberto Menescal, Johnny Alf, Joyce, among others .
Currently Jorginho Neto plays with various bands and bigbands as Sound Scape, Banda Savana, Reteté, Banda Urbana, Oitodobem and Sandália de Prata.
In may 2012 Jorginho Neto released his 1st CD (Jorginho Neto Samba Jazz), with a enthusiastic feedback from public and media, featuring some special guests as Nailor Proveta and Vitor Alcantara. The main references come from drummer Edson Machado and pianist Sergio Mendes, the founders of sambajazz. His sextet, with trombone, trumpet, sax, bass, drums and piano presents a sound that mixes samba and jazz, with personality.
