‘With the current kings of emotive indie-rock Arcade Fire beginning to slowly disappear, there’s a growing power vacuum when it comes to occupying that sweet spot – accessible yet remarkable, passionate yet free of self-indulgence.

So step forward Johnny Panic and the Fever’
Patrick Clarke, The Looking Glass.

Johnny Panic & The Fever independently released their debut EP, ‘Sleep the Sleep of Fever’ in February 2014, with rip-roaring success at the Liverpool launch party, held in The Kazimier. Two hundred limited edition copies, sold within the first few days of release, coupled with rave reviews. From dark and epic, to haunting and provocative, the tracks on the 'Sleep the Sleep of Fever' are wonderfully dynamic and varied, it’s impossible to pick just one as the highlight.
‘A brilliant debut’
Big Jim Cambo, BBC Radio 6 Fresh on the Net Moderator.

Johnny Panic & The Fever are a seven piece Indie Art Rock band based in Liverpool. They have a variety of influences, from The Doors, Kate Bush, Mogwai and the Velvet Underground, to Arvo Pärt, Beethoven and Yann Tiersen. ‘Sleep the Sleep of Fever’ is an epic introduction to this monumental band, displaying a nuanced fusion of styles that are both experimental and accessible.
