Johnny Lucas writes and performs fresh, anthemic songs which keep you singing through the dark times as well as the bright.” With influences ranging from 60s McCartney to his own take on modern indie/pop, Johnny's easy-to-relate-to, feel-good music will always leave you in a sunnier mood.

Using multiple loop pedals and several different guitars, he entertains audiences completely solo while sounding like a full band.

2014 was a killer year for the singer songwriter. Here’s why…
Jimmy Page (Led Zepplin) came to one of his gigs and said "I loved what you did with the loop pedal, there was so much going on it was like 5D experience!"

His single, The Best Days also made airplay on both BBC Radio 1 and 2, in the same week, which is unheard of for an unsigned act.

The start of the year began with a boom as he played a 30 date university tour which was broadcast on over 50 different student media platforms such as SUBTV and BBC Newsbeat. Subsequently he received bookings from Glastonbury and Cornbury 2014 where he was received fantastically and invited back to Glastonbury's Greanpeace Stage for a 2015 appearance. The summer saw Johnny play hundreds of shows some of which were along side industry successes such as Clean Bandit, Rizzle Kicks, The Feeling, The Kiaser Chiefs, Jools Holland and many more.

On a more gritty note, Johnny was flown out to Afghanistan twice to entertain the troops and built a great relationship with the armed forces entertainment organisers and BFBS Radio who play his releases regularly.

The year ended on a high in December when his track Over My Head was chosen as Record of The Day and he was selected by Caffè Nero as their Artist of the Month, during which time they play listed 2 of his songs around 600 stores worldwide. This also included promotion of the single in support of his 60 date 2014 UK tour.

Over My Head was picked up by the BBC’s Gary Crowley who championed it on BBC Introducing whilst he was gigging around the UK.

To sum up, here is 2014 in figures:

- Johnny played over 250 shows and radio interviews last year

- He sold over 2000 units

- He now has over 15,000 fans in his database.

2015 has started with the same strength for Johnny…

He recently signed a sync deal with agency A&G, whose clients include The Super Bowl, Coca Cola and Ikea.

He has just finished a brand new EP (due for release in April this year), produced by Fred Cox (Wretch 32, Joel Compass, Kwabs) and mastered by Mazen Murad at Metropolis Studios (M.I.A, Take That, Dizzee Rascal, Kasabian)

This year has also started with Johnny playing further afield than the UK, particularly Scandinavia, after he was headhunted to play out in Iceland at Spot Bar, which then lead to further bookings for February this year in Norway.

As you can see, Johnny Lucas is going from strength to strength. Next stop, the stratosphere…
