Androgynous poet Jess Hatton Brown is from the magnetic moor of Dartmoor, Devon.

A songwriting graduate from Bath Spa University, UK, Jess has spent her life writing songs, drawing inspiration from the austerity of her homeland to create an intimate and mysterious folk universe. It was in the United States that Jess invented herself as an artist, studied the guitar and learned to perform on stage.

Now based in Nantes, France, Jess was quickly won over by the dynamism of the contemporary music scene. For her first EP produced in France "A WEIGHTLESS SOUND", Jess extends a scenic encounter with the electro musician from Nantes, Max Adams, who signs the arrangements for the mini album. Light layers cling to Jess' guitar to project us into a gentle weightlessness.

On stage, Jess transposes the EP project by combining an electric guitar with a collection of effects pedals to create a contrasting identity on each track.
