Music was part of her life at a very early age. Before leaving the states and heading to Germany, she received a WAMI Award for the Best Contemporary Blues band in Wisconsin. In Germany she has established a number of soul-funk bands including The Jeni Williams Group and Jeni Williams’ Black Bohemia, playing covers from Sting, Joss Stone, Al Green, Incognito, Chaka Khan & Rufus, etc. Her latest CD, “Jeni’s Joint” is a mixture of funk-rock and soul written by Williams and band members of The Jeni Williams Group.
