"I love the intensity and I love the ambition of what Jekyll do" - Huw Stephens, Radio 1
“I can’t get enough of that, it’s magnificent!” - Janice Long, BBC Radio Wales
Originally all from Blackpool, and taking inspiration from a wide and eclectic pool of influences, Jekyll's music is known for its expansive, melancholic soundscapes, dynamic mood shifts and visceral intensity.
Recent months have brought many fantastic opportunities to Jekyll as, immediately after stepping off stage at The Great Escape Festival 2018, they were signed by the prestigious ‘Fierce Panda’ off the strength of their live show. Since then, Jekyll have released the JEKYLL EP and a string of successful singles, which have all received airplay from Huw Stephens (Radio 1), Jack Saunders (Radio 1), Daniel P Carter (Radio 1), Steve Lamacq (Radio 6), John Kennedy (Radio X), Janice Long (BBC Radio Wales) and Shell Zenner (Amazing Radio). In addition to this, Jekyll were recently invited to record a live session for BBC Radio 1 in London’s legendary Maida Vale Studios, with the production team there remarking that it was the best session they’d seen all year!
