Canadian jazz vocalist collaborates regularly with her Belgian Quartet from Antwerp/Brussels and will be visiting Europe in April 2016 to release her new album "This Bitter Earth." The album is a tribute to Dinah Washington featuring new modern arrangements to songs that were originally recorded by Dinah over her 20 year span as a recording artist in the 50s and 60s.

The Belgian/Canadian group consists of:

Jaclyn Guillou - vocals (CANADA)
Bram Weijters - piano (BELGIUM)
Piet Verbist - bass (BELGIUM)
Toon Van Dionant (BELGIUM)

Her previous albums include original contemporary compositions fusing the world of modern jazz, folk music and improvised exploration.

"The Lovers Walk" recorded in Brussels, Belgium is a collaboration between Jaclyn & the Belgian group featuring original work by Guillou and compositions by Bram Weijters with Jaclyn's lyrics.

"Winter For Beginners" was produced by Brad Turner, a celebrated award winning Canadian jazz trumpet player living in Vancouver. The album probes the theme of nature, the four seasons and how people react and respond to on another in their surroundings. The album received excellent reviews on All About Jazz, Canadian blogs and newspapers and scored high on the CMJ jazz charts.
