In varying instrumentations, a musical cross-over is produced which, based on Jazz and influenced by a variety of musical styles, is continuously telling new stories.
In this chamber-music, almost intimate atmosphere, the many aspects of the sound and play spectrum of the vibraphone unfolds to the listener.
The songs in „Cuéntame” are all self-contained tales of extreme harmonic and melodic contrast, steeped in jazz, classical styles, world music, and free improvisation, taking the listener away to abundant worlds of sound and emotion.
They are gems aligned like pearls on a string, connected by an idea and the joint wish to deeply move the listener by the produced sound experience; and yet they all differ in their emotional and artistic expression.
Some gentle, some with groove, shaped by deep human emotions such as love, passion, hope or melancholy, different tones, tempi, rhythms, and styles are woven into songs full of energy and depth.
The listener feels fully immersed here into a multi-layered sound narrative. At the same time, the interaction between different instruments in continuous dialog with the vibraphone, as well as the participation of various outstanding instrumentalists from Germany and Poland makes the listener witness, and be part of a cross-border musical and cultural exchange.
All of the musicians involved are multi-instrumentalists.
