Comparisons to new 4 piece band Indigo from Southend in Essex invariably involve songsmiths and performers usually associated with the older musician...

Carrying old heads on young dynamic shoulders, Indigo have been crafting intelligent, rocking indie tunes delivered with exciting ferocity and infectious hooks, establishing themselves a reputation for high energy live shows. The band have been plying their wares locally in Southend (backing Glen Matlock, Earl Slick and Slim Jim Phantom at the famous Railway Hotel), and in London, notably playing the Dublin Castle in Camden, The Underbelly in Hoxton and Aces and Eights, Tufnell Park and Nambucca most recently.

Singer and guitarist Tom Cunningham is the first of a new breed of front men and tells their stories with exuberance and confidence and a dynamism that draws audiences in. Guitarist Dale Holt-Mead and bassist Finlay Cunningham create the band’s grinding and pulsing soundwave, and powerhouse drummer Matt Lamb creates the groove and dynamic drive that the songs are hung on.

Recently shooting a video for their upcoming EP release; the Self-Titled EP ‘INDIGO’ which is available in digital and on Limited 7” vinyl formats from January and February 2016 respectively, the band are embarking on further forays into London to showcase themselves to their growing number of fans and interested record company execs.

To quote Richie from the HBO series 'Vinyl'
It's all about the songs, guys. Can you hum it? Will you remember it tomorrow? Does it make you want to call the radio station and ask who the band they just played was? Think back. Think back to the first time you heard a song that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, made you want to dance, or f*** or go our and kick somebody's ass!'.... That is INDIGO!
