Hustle Fuzz, self-proclaimed messenger of house party-jazz, is a Finnish quintet formed in 2013, whose Hammond-centred timeless music combines jazz, soul and rock’n’roll resulting in a hypnotically danceable sound.

The group – which has been extremely enthusiastically received at gigs - draws its influences from the British club culture of the early 60s, in which mod-youths in particular enjoyed the vibe of the groovy sound arriving from across the Atlantic. These influences have been adapted to fit into the 2010s by the trio Severi Koivusalo, Henri Jokinen and Seppo Kylänpää, who have collaborated in a variety of ensembles, and who form the base of the group; their sound is completed by the organ wizardry of Jussi Reunamäki and the saxophone skills of Juho Hurskainen, already well-known from several musical contexts.
Hustle Time, the group's critically acclaimed debut album, was released at the 2014 Pori Jazz Festival. The album, made up of twelve original tracks, contains dance floor-filling, twisting upbeat pieces, as well as cheerful catchy boogaloo and cool, Nordic bossa nova, but always leaves room for both improvisation and freedom of expression – the essence of jazz.
The album is released by Goofin' Records, and distributed by Playground Music.
