Humanism is an ambient/alternative project created by producer/singer-songwriter Andi Anderson.

Founded in 2012, Humanism has become a prominent force in the North East music scene, both in performance and production, working with bands such as Polarsets, Lisbon, SoShe, and many more.

After releasing the self-titled debut album in 2012, a band of close friends was assembled to perform the project live. The project has had various lineup changes in the past 4 years, but has maintained a consistent standard of live shows and releases, which merit some strong highlights including - numerous radio play on BBC Introducing and other stations, Festival appearances at Solfest, Mash Up Festival and a headlining slot at Evolution Emerging Festival.

In December 2014 Humanism released the album ‘Porcelain Soul’ which has been described as "A real revelation" (The Crack Magazine). The album was mixed by Steve Kitch of The Pineapple Thief and mastered at the prestigious Metropolis Studio’s in London by MPG award winner John Davis. Since the release of the second album, Humanism has gone on to sellout a headlining show at the o2 Academy 2 on June 6th 2015 and most recently a sellout show at Tynemouth Surf Café in July 2016.

‘Whispers in the Wind’ is his latest offering with a refreshing euphoric sound that is still unmistakably Humanism. On November 1st the single was self-released and is an indication of the ever rising standard of Humanism’s music. With the 3rd album written and on its way, there’ll be a lot to look out for in the very near future from Humanism.
