Their music is mainly characterized by an unusual ensemble that does not include a guitarist, although the bassist often likes to play this role. Their Sound is created by combining piano sounds with bass and synth effects and powerful female vocals. For a stronger visual effect on the stage, they are often accompanied by Engelbert, the saxophonist made out of wood.

They were introduced to wider public in Slovenia by winning at the Šourock festival (2013), where they amazed both the jury and the audience. In 2014 they brought their success on the wider range by winning at Jelen Demofest in Banjaluka (Bosnia) among more than 400 bands from ex-Yu region. They were also seen at many festivals, including Festival Lent, Noč v Bitnjah, Lampijončki, KKŠ Summer Fest, Kamfest, and also abroad.

In 2015 they succesfully launched their debut album The Best Of.

Hulahoop so zasedba dveh deklet, dveh fantov in lesenega saksofonista.
Njihovo avtorsko glasbo zaznamuje predvsem neobičajna zasedba, ki ne vključuje kitarista, čeprav se basist rad vživi v to vlogo. Zvočno barvitost ustvarjajo s kombiniranjem klavirskih zvokov z bass in sint efekti ter prodornim ženskim vokalom. Za močnejši vizualni učinek, se jim na koncertnih odrih rad pridruži saksofonist Engelbert iz lesa.

Širša javnost jih je spoznala z zmago na festivalu Šourock (2013), kjer so s svojim energičnim funky hard popom prepričali tako žirijo kot poslušalce, leta 2014 pa so kot prvi Slovenci zabeležili zmago na banjaluškem Jelen Demofestu, kar jim je odprlo vrata v mednarodni prostor.

Spomladi 2015 so Hulahoop izdali prvenec z naslovom The Best Of.
