Nesin is born 1976 in Berlin, Germany.

He started playing violine at the age of 6. Later on he switched to the double bass. Nesin played in various small groups, bigbands and orchestras in the U.S and Europe. He studied with Bruce Gertz, Dave Clark, Dave Santoro, Mickey Bahner, Dieter Ilg, Jesper Lundgaard and earned his diploma at Berklee College of Music in 2003. He played and recorded with musicians like Herb Geller, Nils Landgren, Rolf Kühn, Leszek Mozdzer, Dusko Goykovic, Hiromi Uehara, Charlie Mariano, Vardan Ovsepian and many more.

This piano trio consists of Nesin Howhannesijan (double bass), Kelvin Sholar (piano) and Ernst Bier (drums). The individual cultural backrounds of the three musicians shape the sound of their compositions. They merge elements from different musical traditions. The organic sound of the trio creates a harmonious ensemble, combining virtuosity with melody. Absolute equality is of paramount importance.
