Howard grew up in Melton Mowbray, a small market town located in the East Midlands. He started playing in a band at the age of 14 with his best friends and by the age of 20 was playing all over the UK, including shows at De Montfort Hall and the NEC in Birmingham. In 2012 Howard and his new band Suburban Sons, left the Midlands for Manchester.
A city famous for an exciting music scene and great songwriting. While at an open mic in summer 2014, Howard was spotted by one of the production team for series 4 of The Voice Uk. He decided to enter in to the competition where his stand out performances of “My Generation”, “You Make My Dreams Come True” and “Proud Mary” helped him to make it through to the Live Finals of the show, where he performed his own version of The Killers hit “Read My Mind”.
