Hora Douse Short Info

"All the energy and bluster of a Border Collie with ADHD after a shot of adrenaline. Short, sharp and GOOD." - I Probably Hate Your Band

"Immediately catchy. No bells, no whistles, no bullshit." - PropertyOfZack

"Oh my f***ing God. I think these guys are the most I’ve been blown away by a new band live in a long time. Coming off sounding a lot like Brand New and mewithoutYou, with the appropriate amount of emo revival vibes as well, it’s a pretty unique mix." - IRREGULAR ZINE

"Bored basks in its simplicity, and quickly becomes one of the catchiest punk songs to be released in recent years." - Watch Read Repeat

"I'm predicting big things for [Hora Douse] in 2015. 'Speak' is a rather fantastic track." - Simon Raymonde, Bella Union (founder)

"Encompassing a vast and eclectic range of influences from hardcore punk to indie rock and boasting comparisons with the likes of Brand New, Biffy Clyro and Manchester Orchestra, amongst others, Hora Douse's punchy sound cannot fail to capture your attention." - The Unsigned Guide Spotlight

"Choppy, alt-rocky tunes with hooks and big guitars in the vein of Biffy Clyro and Manchester Orchestra are their thing and they know how – and when – to bring a riff." - Whisperinandhollerin

"If rage-poppers Pulled Apart By Horses and Turbowolf got together and had a child, then Hora Douse would be it, a screaming mess of sweaty brilliance." - Double Groove Zine

"The tunes are awesome. Very, very good." - Brian Sella, The Front Bottoms

Hora Douse are a three-piece ‘rock’ band from Manchester, UK. Drawing from a distinct influence of powerful, emotive artists such as Brand New, Manchester Orchestra, and Sorority Noise: “the band whirls between grunge, melodic hardcore and post-punk. It’s a daring mix that shouldn’t work, but does.” [PunkNews.org]

Growing close together as school friends, their local ‘DIY’ punk communities helped shape their writing, performances and social outlook: playing & touring with the likes of Future of the Left, Petrol Girls, and The Winter Passing. Currently, the band have quietly been recording with Bob Cooper (Self Defence Family, Citizen, Nai Harvest) over the past year, working on the follow-up to their previous two EP’s - the latter of which (‘Crash’) received critical praise and sold out instantly on CD and cassette tape.
