Hoodoo Operators are a four piece alt-country blues band from West Yorkshire.

Born of booze, blues and a love of doom, Hoodoo Operators enjoy nothing more than making as much noise as possible without a drummer.

Runner-up in the Outstanding Band category at the 2016 Yorkshire Gig Guide Grassroots awards in November, and shortlisted in the Chapel FM Music Video Awards 2016, Hoodoo Operators have had a quite a busy 12 months. Live exploits in the last year have included their first European tour, Bradford Dragonboat Festival, plus support slots with Mishka Shubaly & Glenn Wool, Chantel McGregor, and Bob Log III,

“All of these tricks would be for nothing if the playing, and songwriting was not in place, and on this album, it certainly is.……… there is enough variety and quality music on this release to make it a very worthwhile addition to your album collection”
Blues Matters! Magazine

“Bradford self-confessed rednecks Hoodoo Operators manage to create a foot tappingly countrified bluesy sound even without a drummer”
Exchange Arts, Keighley

“Do You Hoodoo? The answer is yes if this cracking vinyl release of their EPs is anything to go by! Slinking around rootsy blues and hokum with playful panache, this record is an instant hit with staff and customers alike...a turn of gritty groove and honky covered blues. It's a winner!!”
Jumbo Records, Leeds

(Strange Creature Blues) “….. we love a bit of this!!”
Alan Raw, BBC Introducing

“…. Rather like a bridge across the River Styx, is the brooding darkness of the Hoodoo Operators. With the crackling electricity and impending danger of a thunderstorm gathering over a swamp, their booze soaked country-blues brings you songs of doom and an unexpectedly haunting, fragile beauty. Be prepared to….. well, just be prepared!”
Quentin Churchill, Korks Wine Bar, Otley

“The bad boys are back”
Martin Bedford, Honey Bees Blues Club

“Threw up on the way home. Woke up about 10 minutes ago, couldn't find my glasses (have done now), my hair is standing up (but I can't) and I fucking stink. Good times. #WokeLikeAZombie #BlameItOnTheHoodoo”
Luke Doran, Hoodoo Fan
