Husband and wife Justin and Terah Beth formed Hey Lover nearly a decade ago, playing their first show on their wedding night. Esteemed Portland lo-fi punk label Hovercraft released the band's self-titled debut LP in 2007 and their 2012 follow-up, Tennessee, to roaring local acclaim. The recent addition of a new bassist elevates the sound and dynamics of Sinking Ships to new heights that were only hinted at in their previous releases.

In preparation for their upcoming release, Hey Lover ended 2015 with a three-week European tour, as well as their first trek to Iceland.

The full-length Sinking Ships will be released in May, after which the band will play a week-long west-coast tour and a two-week run in Spain + Portugal. Dates to be announced in the coming months with the additional debut of two singles and videos preceding the album release.
