The harmonica is still not very well established in the world of jazz, while it is even more unique in combination with a string quartet.
Hermine invited Zapp4 to join her on her latest CD, named “Welling”, which has resulted in an intriguing journey through a wide variety of styles.
The music is a mixture of melancholy and surprise, between compositions by Jaco Pastorius, Ali Farka Toure and compositions by Oene van Geel, Hermine Deurloo, Jeffrey Bruinsma, and Jasper Le Clercq.
