Hermine Deurloo (chromatic harmonica) and Rembrandt Frerichs (piano, prepared piano, Indian harmonium) have been performing together from 2013 onwards and have given many concerts since that time.

Their new album with Brooklyn based drummer Jim Black and cellist Jörg Brinkmann will be released in the Bimhuis at 22 dec. 2016.
They bring a mixture of exciting improvisation, strong melodies, and their own compositions.

Algemeen Dagblad :
Rembrandt Frerichs and Hermine Deurloo, one of the few real virtuoso harmonica artists, performed wonderfully. They surprised their audience with their brilliant impressionistic sound, with each leaving space for the other to express themselves individually.
Hermine Deurloo, inspired by Toots Thielemans, playfully turns the chromatic harmonica into a real jazz instrument. Eccentric, opinionated jazz seems to effortlessly flow out of her. Over the years, she has played together with, amongst others, Jesse van Ruller, Candy Dulfer, Han Bennink as well as musicians from the New York downtown jazz scene, such as Tony Scherr.

Reviews
• Jazz journalist Scott Yanow (2013): It is obvious throughout this disc that she ranks among the top jazz harmonica players of this decade.
• Bernard Lefevre, Muziekmozaiek 2013: Throughout a range of subtle accentuations, Hermine Deurloo creates a rich and varied sound in which her masterful control of the chromatic harmonica is wonderfully displayed.

Rembrandt Frerichs is recognized by the international press as an adventurer on the piano and a master of his instrument. In his music, you can hear the energy of improvised jazz and the lyricism of Oriental music. He plays “music of the future where boundaries disappear from the ear” (Trouw, a Dutch newspaper). He's played in the legendary Jazzclub Birdland in New York and his music has taken him to many festivals and clubs around the world. In 2014, his album was nominated for a Dutch Grammy, the Edison Award.
