Hercules Morse present a combination of the groove-based riffs of stoner / desert rock, the energy and audacity of classic British rock and the melodic focus of contemporary alternative rock to create something altogether distinct. Reviewers frequently laud them as a British hybrid of The Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age.

From the ashes of previous-project “The Blue Screen Of Death” rises “Hercules Morse”; a band with the power of a Greek demi-God coupled with the intelligence and endeavour of an Inspector from Oxford.

Hercules Morse balance their ability to craft exemplary tunes and tendency to rip up stages along the South Coast with their quiet self-assurance, typical British humbleness and a lack of pretension. Mighty riffs are carved over driving bass grooves with lavish guitar licks and catchy vocal lines, creating ferocious sonic beasts immersed in melody.

Their lyrical content is often tongue-in-cheek, reflecting the band's preference for substance over self-importance. As Rocksound magazine aptly stated “good songs take precedence over trite stylistics”.

In their previous set-up the band received plaudits from Iron Maiden singer, Bruce Dickinson, as well as national press coverage from the likes of Kerrang Radio, NME, Scuzz TV and BBC 6 Music. They have been fortunate enough to share stages with Turbowolf, Band of Skulls, Brant Bjork (former Kyuss drummer), Zico Chain, Orange Goblin and Dinosaur Pile Up. They have also, somewhat incongruously appeared on bills with Calvin Harris, The Go Team, Tynchy Stryder and The Streets.

In Hercules Morse’s brief time so far they have raised hell (which to them, is Southampton) with a critically acclaimed EP, countless blistering live shows and a video single release. They are about to get in the studio again to record further material for release as soon as humanly possible.

They have been described as “a welcome flush of energy to Britain's stagnant rock scene” (Chybucca Sounds) and look set to continue their march towards becoming a household name in the world of rock 'n' roll.
