With a sound which The Line of Best Fit called “lush alt-rock with tremendous promise”, and Louder Than War praised as “understated and gently realised dream pop”, and with lyrics exploring themes of melancholia, depression, female objectification, mass media, obsessive love, and casual witchcraft, the resulting twelve singles form a kind of collage, a year in the life of a band existing in this strange era, pieced together in real time, as it happened.
In 2017, Heavy Heart collaborated with vinyl-only label I Can & I Will to re-release all twelve tracks as a limited-edition LP entitled Keepsake, which was also distributed in Japan by To’Morrow Records, with lead single Fruitfly going on to pick up UK airplay from Steve Lamacq, John Kennedy and Phil Taggart and appearing on Killing Moon’s New Moons Vol. IX compilation in 2018.
In January 2019, the band will release the first of three new tracks mixed and co-produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Gabe Wax (The War On Drugs, Fleet Foxes, Soccer Mommy).
