Music has and always will be the love of my life.

For my 14th birthday I received my first guitar – a squire “tele”. Ever since then I have been teaching myself how to play a variety of instruments. I’ve performed solo and in bands, worked with friends, fellow musicians and DJs, wrote, recorded, performed and produced a variety of music.
A couple of years after me and some school friends formed a band, giving me my first experience of writing, co-writing, perfoming on guitar and vocals. At 19, making music snowballed into an obsession, rarely putting my guitar down. Save tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry being my teenage crowning glory, finaly cracking how to sing and play simultaneously.
From then on it was all about broadening my musical horizons so built a quazi-studio in a garage of the house i was living (with laid-back friends) and began to learn drums and bass and also have my first encounter of the technologyside of music in terms of recording. Not having the contacts to create a band or ability to pay for studio time, I recorded the vocals in a wardrobe, and it was all written recorded and performed, edited and mastered, by me. The album was titled, Nothing to lose. Of which I still have about 20 copies, making themselves useful as coasters. It was my first ode to music, works all jumbled together. Nothing to lose being the message. I am stil very proud of it, despite how awful it sounds to the ear.
I learned after that, that music was without a doubt, what I wanted to do. All of a sudden, it felt like I had something to lose. So I moved forward.
My uncle has always been a big northern soul man, and with an external building to house his multi-faceted collection, and his DJ sons, I had the oppurtunity to record a second album a year or two later. A much more acoustic take this time round, but with the chance for my love of playing lead guitar to walk freely.
After this, I moved to the musical city of Manchester, and co-founded the formation of The Dirty Mutts. The Dirty Mutts were an Indie Rock band based in Manchester, the band originally formed in Derby in the summer of '11. The band had their debut EP 'For Lack Of A Better Idea' recorded and released for digital download (Currently on iTunes). The band, spanning a few years and an ever changing line-up, of which I was mostly the frontman - guitar and vocal, whilst co-writing and performing drum and bass guitar compositions - has now disbanded. But my passion for music, despite now returning to a solo environment, has not changed. I will confidently continue on, making and performing music, wherever and whenever possible.
