'Hannah Jane Lewis' EP | EP | 2013 |
Hannah is described by critics and fans as having ‘that early Taylor Swift feel to her mixed in with a bit of The Band Perry and her own uniqueness, creating a great, refreshing style of music’.
Hannah moved to live in America for seven years during her teens where she immersed herself in a range of music scenes, leading her to love the music of artists who focused on storytelling/personal lyrics. Due to this she uses her own life experiences and relationships to create music that we can all relate to. After graduating high school, Hannah decided she wanted to broaden her horizons and move to New York City. Four years later after ritually performing and soaking in as much music as possible, she decided it was time to leave the Big Apple and return home to London.
Since the release of her first EP in November 2013 featuring the popular single ‘Seventeen Again’, Hannah is building some serious momentum after recently being named as one to watch by The Wall Street journal describing her ‘youthful delivery of Seventeen Again’ as ‘recalling Taylor Swift’. Hannah continues to build upon her success having performed two sets at The C2C Festival at the O2 Arena, supported US duo ‘Jill and Kate’, and returned once again to the O2 arena to play at The Sundance Film Festival. For the past six months she has also been touring secondary schools in coordination with the charity ‘Life Skills Education’, guiding teens on how to deal with cyber bullying and online safety while pairing it with her music.
Hannah started the year off releasing her second single ‘First Time Feeling’ from her latest EP ‘Run With Me’! Come and follow her on her journey so far!
