These were the first experiments undertaken by HANDS OF INDUSTRY in the room they would come to know affectionately as The Lab. Whilst those around still sought guidance from the likes of Gallagher, Grohl and Turner the three members of HOI instead chose to turn to the dark side and found inspiration in dance music, electro, new wave, pop and film soundtracks. They mixed loops, great big beats, strings, melody, samples, Kaoss Pad, and from amongst the noise came baritone vocals with tales of human emotion. A far cry from the factory produced, manufactured to order and airbrushed drones sent to brainwash the unsuspecting public. This was real.
The first results were released from the lab in May of 2014 with debut single 'Joined' made available to purchase via itunes, Amazon and Spotify. Many more experiments have been completed with Lab technician Dangerous Dave Whittaker (previously of The Danse Society and Music for Pleasure, 2 bands who tried bravely to hold back the tides of guitar fuelled testosterone) and an album is scheduled for release in the Winter time.
The band have already made forays around the country to share the results of the time spent in The Lab and have thus far given demonstrations at the likes of The Academy in Manchester, The Cockpit in Leeds, The Dublin Castle in Camden and countless more.
