Like many other bands, Hand Practices engages in a very egotistical form of art called music in which the gentlemen performing the art bombast an unsuspecting (or suspecting but courteously willing) audience to loud noises being projected at them.
The band spent a whole lot of money earned from their much more highly lucrative day jobs (jobs which require manifold more useful skills) recording a dearth of material onto antiquated vinyl format. They still have most of the records and have not nearly recuperated the money spent, but you can't really put a price on how cool people think you are when you tell them your band has music out on vinyl.
Hand Practices is what Indian people call masturbation when they speak English. The name was found on Yahoo! Answers.
