GONZO - Rock Post-Punk Live Act in Aberdeen

GONZO Short Info

GONZO are a new and upcoming alternative-punk duo. Hailing from North-East Scotland, GONZO consist of members Kyle Robertson-Smith (vocals, drums) and Matthew Lukowski (guitar, vocals) who combine to create a range of interesting sounds as can be heard on their SoundCloud (https://soundcloud.com/gonzoband/tracks). You can expect to hear a range of sounds; from fuzzy guitar riffs overlapping a sea of cymbals to emotionally psychedelic chord progressions accompanied by elegant drum grooves, all coming together to form a heavily rhythmic and dynamic aesthetic.

Kyle and Matthew – both now aged 16 - met in their first year of secondary school, when they were assigned neighbouring seats in English class. Kyle had been playing the drums for 6 years when Matthew decided to learn the guitar and in April of 2014 they decided to get together and jam for the first time. Six months later, GONZO was formed as both members had been writing songs together for a couple months. The duo recorded their first live demo in November.
