Gilmore Trail are a 4-piece instrumental rock band from Sheffield.

Their music has a post-rock edge, with a mix of influences including Sigur Rós, Oceansize, Explosions in the Sky, This Will Destroy You, King Crimson and Pink Floyd.

The band played headline shows at Tramlines Fringe Festival in 2015 and 2014, and performed at ArcTanGent festival in August 2017. They have received continued support over the years from BBC Radio Sheffield, and more recently from Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson's Mixtape on BBC 6 Music. They have played shows supporting bands such as Nordic Giants, China Drum, Losers and Knifeworld.

Gilmore Trail released their second album "The Floating World" in May 2015, with a triumphant album launch show at Corporation in Sheffield. The promo video for "Memories of Redfern" was premiered by the Prog Magazine website. This was followed by a short UK tour in early 2016 and the release of the single with accompanying video "Twin Peaks".

Gilmore Trail's third album "Impermanence" is due for release in January 2022, with a UK tour to follow in July.
