Ghost Of You Short Info

A formerly experimental project of young musicians was founded in the summer of 2012, During the following autumn, delicate vocals and melancholic melodies gradually evolved into psychadelic pop with relentless rhythms. Since then, the band has been touring around the Czech Republic persistenly, with a 100th concert under their belt in June 2015.

A self-produced debut EP Ocean K was released in March 2013. A positive feedback followed both home and abroad, praised by the likes of a Canadian site dontspreadbullshitspreadmusic.com. Radio Wave also featured the track "Somewhere In The Drop Of Your Miracle" in their Startér broadcast, sparking great interest and eventually coming in second in the chart. The music video for the song was then picked by music TV Óčko and included in their circulation, while various student films and documentaries used it for scores as well. In the early 2014, the band played a Radio Wave live session, and provided a soundtrack to a silent movie during 40th Summer Film School in Uherské Hradiště.

A well renowned producer Ondřej Ježek accompanied the band in studio Jámor, where they gave birth to a record Glacier And The City released by Indies Scope in October 2015. This is where things really picked up. The band was handpicked by a committee and shortlisted amongst big names of the Czech scene in a competition to play at Sziget festival 2015. Thanks to a dedicated fanbase, they won the competition and got the chance to play the massive Sziget festival in Hungary. Their average age of 21 makes them the youngest musical act from the Czech Republic to ever play this venue. More concerts followed, amongst which the most prominent were IFF Karlovy Vary, United Islands of Prague, Banat festival in Romania or showcase festival Nouvelle Prague 2015.

English review:
…It’s a short record – eight tracks with a total playing time of thirty-one and a half minutes – but apparently they felt it wasn’t necessary to say more than this. It was produced by Ondřej Ježek and the band seem to have been very happy with his guidance and inspiration. Who can blame them? With its freshness and vitality this is an impressive first album…
