'A stunning record, a really good indie stomper in his native welsh... one of those records that is very infectious even if you don't understand the language' (Charlie Ashcroft, Amazing Radio 2018) 'I’s a measure of the success of Rhys’s music that the repeated line “We can’t hold on to what we don’t have” stays with the listener long after the song has ended, both as a catchy pop lyric and a powerful political statement' (Wales Arts Review 2017) “South Wales’ Geraint Rhys is able to deliver an admirable down-to-earth quality to his work.

Whether it’s his genuine voice and lyrics…..Geraint’s music is easy to love” A Music Blog Yea?

“Manages to put melancholic guitar work to fine use….. beautiful and poignant” Stencil Magazine

Hailing from Swansea South Wales, Geraint Rhys is an artist with a lot to say. Merging his own social commentary with personal experience, his lyrics are poignant and powerful. His reflective approach to song writing leaves no stone unturned as he touches upon subjects as diverse as politics, culture, power and history, to love, hate, lust and greed. By doing so he is producing a political pop music which is a lyrically subtler version of the Manic Street Preachers and the Smiths but as intricate and thought provoking.

After the success of his 2017 political Trilogy which has amassed 110,000 views on Youtube, with his track 'Visca La Terra' on the Catalan referendum receiving significant play and media coverage in Catalunya, he continues to play all over the country.

With Radio play on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru, Amazing Radio and college and independent radio stations all over the world, his music has reached all corners of the globe.
