The Netherlands is the meeting point of American Drummer Owen Hart Jr, Polish Bassist Maciej Domaradzki and Greek Pianist Georgios Tsolis. They became acquainted musically in 2004 and worked with each other from 2008. Since October 2012, they work intensively together as a trio.
Their main repertoire consists of original compositions by Georgios. The music and the interpretations of the trio reflect the ideas and musical influences of Georgios as well as the other two members of the trio. As a “Modern Jazz” trio the sound and the “color” of the compositions are rooted in the jazz idiom but with the sound of nowadays jazz. Complex but very listenable arrangements of well-known jazz standards have been added to the repertoire of the trio and presented with Owen, Maciej and Georgios’s point of view.
The personal influences of these 3 musicians, their experience and ideas are coming together in this trio with the aim of a distinctive modern jazz sound. The unique musicality and creativity of Drummer Owen Hart Jr, the excellent technical and musical skills of bassist Maciej Domaradzki fit the music of Georgios in the best way and give the feeling of a real band.
Georgios Tsolis debut album " On the way" is already distributed in Japan by major company Disk Union. It will soon be aired on NPO Radio 6 - "Jazz in the morning".
