Inspired by his older brother, rap became his passion. With music mentor
Courtney (Long Man) he started his career with the underground sound crew, Str8
UP. At the time, using his youtube channel Word2DaCurb. He delivered his music to
his fans.
Recently released mixtape Matilda title from the Roald Dahl flm, sold over 500
copies in the frst two weeks of release and has over 6000 downloads. Accepted by
many “Lets Go” made it 4th in the Top 5 “Hottest Track Of The Week Chart.” the
track also landed a place on the LinkupTv Best Of October 2013 Compilation
Mixtape.
Keeping up the consistency, grips has worked alongside Konan, Astar, Yungen, and
the Unit Ten (SN1 Record Label). Gips aka HB Jedi has performed all over the UK
including shows supported by The Voice newspapers and the BBC.
