Formed in 2012, Fret! are the trio of Steve Strode, Rob Woodcock and Cath Tyler.

They play great little Touch and Go Recordings style ditties. You know, the discordant kind, which make you want to move your arse; that start and stop but without the beards and wanky algebra you associate with math rock.

Their debut 7" came out in 2014 and was described by Byron Coley in The Wire as being "One side's a thunder-rock instrumental with Dead Moon overtones. The flip is an amazing amalgam of hard-rock and extended folk mouth action"

This was followed by the "Killing Susan" mini-album in 2015, which led to Dayz Of Purple And Orange to announce: "What Fret! have accomplished is noteworthy; they have simultaneously breathed some life into the sometimes turgid post rock arena whilst keeping the angular noise spirit of Am-Rep and Blast First alive. 'Killing Susan' is a fine EP by a promising band...one to keep your eye on in the future."

Gigging extensively, they have toured and shared stages with MIKE WATT, DEATHFIX, WE CAME OUT LIKE TIGERS, RICHARD DAWSON, THE BISMARCK, BLOWN OUT, SLY AND THE FAMILY DRONE, THE BLIND SHAKE and WORKIN' MAN NOISE UNIT (amongst others). They've also just returned from a UK wide tour with Russian riot grrl / noise-punk band, MIRRORED LIPS, in support of the debut full-length album "Through The Wound The Light Comes In" (released in March 2017) which is already gaining much critical acclaim.
