It was founded in 2010, when to DJs and producers Michal Princ and Robert Forman met with three acoustic musicians. They put computers, synthesizers and samples of all kinds together with piano and synths, live and electronic drums and saxophones. Experimenting with the real and effected sounds of these instruments, they started to work on new live soundtracks for two ikonic silent movies - German Metropolis from Fritz Lang (1927) and Czech Erotikon from Gustav Machaty (1929). In 2011 they released LP Earotikon, that was nominated for Czech Music Award Anděl. They played on many Czech film and music festivals (Project100, SPERM Festival, Lunchmeat Festival, Colours of Ostrava, LFS - Summer Film School in Uherske Hradiste) and succeeded also on many festivals in abroad (POKE Festival - Kosice, Silent Movie Festival - Krakow, Neme Noci - Odesa). In 2015, FORMA vs. Erotikon was touring Ukraine, where they came back this year with Metropolis movie.
