Friends from school, FlashFires have a unique bond that shines through in their song writing and their live shows.

Despite only just being out of their teens, they are writing tunes that their older peers can only dream of, a bold statement perhaps, but one that is fully justified. Sitting somewhere on the indie/rock spectrum, their own self-proclaimed brand of Fire Indie Disco, FlashFires are here to have a good time and everyone is invited.

Unrestricted by genre, the band are all music fans with eclectic tastes and are not frightened to take risks and test out different styles and sounds in their compositions.

FlashFires set off for J Street Recording Studios in California at the start of September 2013 to work with Brian Wheat, bassist with US rock legends Tesla.

Initially hired to produce the record it soon became clear that Brian was keen to work with the band further, put simply he stated “I recognised their tremendous talent and potential”. Brian expressed an interest in co-managing the band and the contracts were signed in February 2014.

The band have been gigging extensively and have supported the likes of Catfish And The Bottlemen, The Telescreen, The Birthday Suit (Idlewild) and The Rifles in the past few months.

November 2014 saw the release of their debut single Circus Boy and this is now followed by the new single SHY on the 30th March with the debut EP, PLAY released on the 20th April.
