In the pensioner smog of Broadstairs, Kent, vocalist and guitarist Ed Wetenhall found himself in his new university halls, alone and band-less.

Two weeks on and what he thought was just a passing idea amongst excitable new friends drummer Joe Jeffcoate and bassist Joe Nash became a sleepy seaside town’s worst nightmare.

Through honing their brand of angular art rock and relentlessly touring in spite of their studies, Fish Tank have made a name for themselves on the British underground scene through their notoriously chaotic live show, and having shared the stage with Alt-J, Tall Ships, Marmozets and Slaves, Fish Tank are set to grow their already dedicated fan base in 2015 with further releases, tours and festivals slots.

“From the earliest home-taped demos to the huge bursts of frenetic rock energy on ‘Friends’, I’ve loved everything Fish Tank have ever made. As much as I’d like to selfishly keep them to myself forever, I also can’t wait for them to take over the world”
Jacob Rickard - Lead Producer on the BBC Sound of 2015

"Fish Tank are a fantastic band to watch live and all of their songs are fun, catchy and anthemic. A very exciting sound, and an act I expect will do very well in 2015"
Abbie McCarthy - Assistant Producer at BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music and Presenter of BBC Introducing in Kent
