Formed in late 2012 they’ve spent their time fine tuning their sound – a strong presence of modern blues rock in the guitar and bass, fill heavy, driving drum beats overlaid with the pure, catchy vocal melodies from front-woman Sophie Hawes. All together the band blends together Blues-rock with a hint of Alternative rock to create their unique sound, as well as boasting an extremely energetic and enjoyable live performance.
After their successful EP launch in Bristol in August, they are pushing hard to get their name known in and around the local area, aiming for gigs in Cardiff, Bath and Bristol. Having filled rooms in most the venues around Bristol as well as taking part in events such as Thunderfest, Stagfest and Noise Annoys, alongside some big names FIRES are slowly but surely developing a foothold in the local music scene.
