Singer songwriter Ethan Ash began studying music and playing guitar at age six years. He played his first solo gig age 12 and went on to front a teenage band, which played all over the UK, before deciding to focus on a solo career.

Soon after Ethan released his debut solo EP he supported Seth Lakeman and Nick Harper, and toured extensively. The debut single from a second EP, ‘No Early Nights’, was chosen as an iTunes Single of the Week. Ethan’s EP ‘Playing By Numbers’, released October 2012, reached the Top 10 of the iTunes Singer Songwriter chart.

Solo gigs and festivals played include…
Bestival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Camp Bestival, Y Not Festival, MK International Festival, Wilderness, Latitude, main stage at The Secret Garden Party and Music Week, ASCAP and IMC showcases in London. Headline shows include The Stables (Milton Keynes) and The Glee Club (Birmingham).

Ethan supported Ed Sheeran on part of his 2011/2012 sell-out UK tour. Other artists he has supported include Passenger, Foy Vance, Rachel Sermanni, John Bramwell (I Am Kloot) and Janet Devlin on her 2013 O2 Academy tour.

Ethan has a song writing project called ‘Rough Cuts’ which sees songs he writes become available for free download just as they emerge from the song writing process. The songs are stripped-down, raw, unproduced versions of what may appear on future EPs/albums.

Ethan co-writes with other artists/songwriters and has been writing with award winning songwriter Amy Wadge. The first song to emerge from the collaboration, “Haven’t Got There Yet”, was released as a single.
Ethan releases a new EP in February 2015. Tracks will be mixed by Grammy award winner Simon Goggerly (U2, Paloma Faith, Gwen Stefani).
