DZIERZYNSKI BITZ (as Dzerzhinsky Bitz or simply Dz.Bitz) first came together in 2007.

They’re continuing as one of the most authentic and intriguing acts on the East European music scene. The band's style is a bizarre mix of new wave sound with “Soviet” pop music.

The second long-play, “Love Me Do”, was released in November 2014. It was recorded in several studios in Kyiv and Moscow, and produced by Graham Sutton (These New Puritans, British Sea Power, Jarvis Cocker). The new album added a more electronic feel and disco-funk grooves and it worked out successfully. It was rated as the one of Top-5 Russian albums of 2014 by the famous, widely-read Moscow magazine Afisha.

DZIERZYNSKI BITZ has played the numerous club gigs in Russia, Ukraine, Poland and Baltic countries and has had several successful festival appearances at Stereoleto (S.-Petersburg), Jazz-Koktebel (Kyiv), Avant (Moscow), Oasis (Georgia), Forma (Moscow), Gogolfest (Kyiv), Belye Nochi (Perm), Art Labyrinth Summer Festival (Moldova), Mirum Music Festival (Belarus’).
