Distant Sun are a 4 piece indie rock band from Norwich who represent a new wave of Britpop music.

Strong melodies, tight harmonies, driving guitars and stomping drums are just a few of the ingredients you can expect to fly out at you when you hit the play button. This is life affirming indie rock at its very best and an ideal way to kick start any weekend with that Friday feeling buzz…..

Distant Sun formed in early 2010 and grew up together in the humble surroundings of Hopton-on-Sea, Norfolk, England.

Several months after forming Distant Sun played their first gig at The Brickmakers in Norwich. A year later in November 2011 an opportunity to record at Universal Studios in London presented itself after a last minute cancelation, an offer that was too good to refuse. 10 songs were recorded live in one day and the concept for the first album was born.

'Beyond The Realms We Live In' is a self-recorded 10 song album and is the debut album from the East Anglian based band. The album was officially released under their own label on 26th November 2013.

Shortly after releasing their debut album Distant Sun signed a 3 year publishing agreement with Matrix Promo which resulted in the lead single 'Make You Alright' getting national airplay on BBC Radio 2 on the Alex Lester show.

In April 2015 the band completed the recording of their follow up album 'Reverse the Ending'. The lead single 'Calling Out' was selected as BBC Introducings track of the week in June 2015. With both the lead single and the album due for an October 2015 release, Distant Sun are looking to make a big impact this year.
