Diego Riedemann was born in Santiago, Chile in 1981.

He began playing guitar at age eleven.
He has studied with renowned guitarists as well as formally.

He has participated in jazz festivals and cycles in and out of the country: Thelonious Connection Jazz Fest (Jan 2016); "XV Valdivia International Jazz Fest" (Dec 2015) “Festival Internacional 5 de Mayo”, Puebla, Mexico (Apr 2012); 3rd and 4th “El Bosque Jazz Fest” (Jun 2008 & Nov 2009); 1st Quilicura Jazz Fest (Nov 2009); Young Jazz Musicians Cycles (Chilean/North American Institute, Oct 2007 & 2008), as well as lectures (Jazz & Talk, Blackbox - Gasteig, München, Dec 2016; UNAB, Aug 2012; UPA. Nov 2015) about jazz guitar and improvisation.

He has shared stage with prominent national and international musicians: Dusko Gojkovic,
Claus Koch, Claus Raible and Guido May, among many others (Germany, July – August
2015); and renowned chilean musicians as Sebastian Jordan, Felipe Riveros, Agustín Moya, Nélson Arriagada, Gabriel Puentes, Daniel Rodriguez, Andrés Celis, and Diego Urbano, among others.

On 2013 he recorded his first album, "Shah Mat" (Discos Pendiente, Chile). With this work
he won the “Pulsar Awards 2015” for Best Jazz and Fusion Artist.

On 2016 he recorded his second album, "Sinke" (Vértigo, Chile)

He has worked as sideman for singers like Camila Meza, Nicole Bunout, Karen Rodenas, Edra
Silva, Natacha Montory, among others.
He participated in the IP Projazz Big Band in 2007, performing repertoire from the Pat Metheny
Group. During those years, he also belonged to the academic staff of that institution.
Currently, Diego is making a Jazz Guitar Master at the Jazz Institut München and gives private guitar, harmony,
improvisation and chess lessons. In parallel he is working on original music.
