With the recent release of Cookstown troubadour Denver McCord's eagerly anticipated new and first solo album ‘Confessions, Questions & Tales’, McCord has wasted no time in getting out and performing his material in front of enthusiastic & packed houses.

His debut performance was supporting no other than legendary Texan singer/songwriter Eric Taylor and McCord stepped in front of the spotlight to headline his own sold out 'Album Launch' show at The Burnavon Theatre on Friday 2nd October followed up with supporting Northern Irish rockers ‘Blackwater Conspiracy’ at the Grand Opening of Lulu’s Bar, Dungannon on 17th October.

McCord spent much of the last year recording the self-financed album at Einstein Studio with Northern Ireland’s most in-demand recording engineer Frankie McClay.
“‘Confessions, Questions & Tales’ is a collection of nine self-penned compositions which are an autobiographical soundtrack, cinematic in style and concept" the 35 year old states. “The first track ‘Real Eyes’ acts as the opening credits and it finishes with ‘Get Your Act Together’ bringing the ‘movie’ to a close"
“The core of the album has been meticulously placed, guiding the listener through a narrative that addresses situations and themes which I feel - without giving too much away - a lot of the writing deals with relationship matters & life experiences to which most people (if not everyone) can relate and has had to deal with at some point in their life".
“This theme is packed into 35 minutes of music featuring a variety of different styles and influences without ever straying too far from ‘classic rock’.”
McCord provides the vocals and guitars on each track including playing piano, organ, mellotron and percussion on several others as well as designing all the artwork and sat in the production chair, speaks volumes about the intent to bring together the concept of 'Confessions, Questions & Tales'.

The album personnel includes Phil Smyth on bass and drums on ‘Real Eyes’, ‘Sparkle & Fade’ and ‘All The Way’ while Julian Watson drums on ‘Spellbound’, ‘How Long (‘til I See You Again)’, ‘Destination Nowhere’ and ‘Get Your Act Together’.
‘Before It’s Too Late’ features the incredible vocal talents of Joan Regan (also a Cookstown native) and the expertise of Plunkett McGartland on piano as well as award-winning fiddle player Cathal Hayden (‘Four Men & A Dog’ and Christy Moore). Neil Gordon provides the harmonica on ‘All The Way’ with Frankie McClay’s beautifully composed and arranged strings and orchestration on both ‘Sparkle & Fade’ and ‘Someday?’.

'How Long ('til I See You Again)' is the first single taken from the album and has received plenty of air play on Radio Ulster with the official music video available online to watch on YouTube with over 3,000 views in only a matter of weeks.
