As a self-taught artist, he has travelled extensively through the Galician villages in search of rhythms, songs and dances. Thanks to his encounters with all these women, Davide has learnt not only about the tradition in music but also about a way of life; a love for all those traditional practices such as weaving, basketry, agriculture and the respect for their land and language, which has given Davide's way of singing an understanding of our culture that goes far beyond the music.
Together with the accordionist Santi Cribeiro (Berrogüetto) and the percussionist Carlos Freire, Davide Salvado is now presenting his new album, Lobos (Wolves), which is strongly influenced by traditional percussions. This is a profound show that seeks to acknowledge and thank all those
strong and anonymous women who through their tambourines and dances have made of Davide what he is now.
Davide was selected for the 14)WOMEX official showcase selection and he is now the galician artist with most international projection.
