All For Love- All For the Gospel | Album | 2010 |
A five piece composing of Charles, Calum, Chris, Jake and Rob, friends since their early teens with one intrinsic connection: making music.
Starting out with their idols covering the walls, the belief in making their musical mark has never been lost with Community. Playing bars & clubs not even old enough to drink in, the sound has matured & developed into the polished guitar heavy sound of today, with the reflective lyrics pulled together with Charlie’s echoing voice.
Ask the band who has influenced them & you will get a long diverse list spanning generations, decades and genres. The haunting sound of the National can be heard as can the Dylan-esque War on Drugs, but as their idols have shaped them both personally & musically, the sound of Community has become something identifiably and definitely their own.
The band settled on the name after a discussion on what mattered to them the most. A ten year friendship binds them together & aside from their musical talent and passion, their bond as friends is something present with them & in their songs.
With their EP currently being worked on day & night and under the management of Industry, the band are on the verge of gearing up to take on the Music Industry. The integrity, belief in music’s ability to orchestrate change are at the foundations of this bands ethos. At a time where money risks dominating music, Community shine out. Great music is at their core, & will always be the ultimate goal.
