Eastbourne based alt rock four piece City of Ashes have existed in their current line up since 2012, and have been making a name for themselves as one of the UK's most exhilarating unsigned bands ever since.

The band released the EP 'Then There Was A Hand In The Darkness' in January 2013 and lead single Falling Star quickly became a fan favourite. That summer, the band recorded their debut album All We Left Behind with Matt O'Grady (You Me At Six, Deaf Havana, Don Broco) which was released in November 2013 to wide critical acclaim, with the album release show selling out to over 200 people. 2014 saw the band tour heavily throughout the UK - they have shared stages with bands such as Fearless Vampire Killers, Polar, and Young Guns, and recently supported US legends Trapt on 3 dates of their UK tour. Their single 'Masks' released in September 2014 has been their most successful yet, racking up over 20,000 views on Youtube. With the band heading on tour again in Febuary, their biggest headline show to date at Brighton's The Haunt looking set to sell out, and an appearance at Takedown Festival in March, 2015 is looking to be the brightest year yet for City of Ashes.

BLACK VELVET- “City Of Ashes have achieved near perfection with their debut release.”

BIG CHEESE- "City Of Ashes are surely bound for bigger things. Ones to watch"

ROCKSOUND- “This is polished, emotional work. Frontman Orion Powell pours his heart out throughout”
