His vocal and instrument arrangement can be described as deep vocals paired with either an acoustic guitar or piano with an overall bare sound. His songwriting is both versatile and dynamic with the ability to tailor all of his sets to different moods and genres of a Folk and Blues variety. With original material that is comfortably over a set time of 1hr 30mins.
Accomplisments:
After being well received and playing a few small venues such as the Sidewalk Café, Pete's Candy Store and Under St. Marks in New York, CW did eventually return to London to spend time with his family and friends whilst playing more shows all around the city, including The Kensington Roof Gardens, Wiltons Music Hall in Hackney and The Amersham Arms in South London. His debut album is due to be released in the fall of 2017 and is being recorded in Parr Street Studios, Liverpool, UK where he currently works for a record label.
Formative Years:
Chris Woolf was born in Camden Town, London where he grew up. His mother had an old sax he started playing at 7 and at age 13 he had a scholarship to a highly prestigious school for music and had begun to teach himself the guitar. He spent many summers and winter holidays in his grandparents house in Southern Ireland, Co Cork absorbing all the folk music and culture. After spending sometime in music college as one quarter of a barbershop quartet, CW also graduated from an Art Institute in Kent with a degree in Photography.
Now 25 years old, CW immediately moved to New York City, NY to find fame and fortune. It was in a few days of being there that Chris was taken in by a collective of artists and creatives. Some from other bands and others shooting documentaries alongside highly acclaimed directors such as Tony Kaye (American History X.)
After 6 months of breaking the scene and making some serious headway, CW moved back to tour the Uk and now resides in Liverpool whilst building his musical reputation and working on his up and coming album.
