Champagne Charlies is an indie/rock trio based in Newcastle Upon Tyne formed back in 2005 they have been compared to a "Geordie Arctic Monkeys".

With their catchy riffs, intelligent lyrics and memorable melodies the Charlies "can turn any stage into a party".
Champagne Charlies are no strangers to the music venues of the 'Toon' having headlined The Cluny, Head Of Steam and due to headline the o2 Accademy 29th October as some of there many gigs in the region, the Charlies where also on the bill of the first ever full electric set at Surf CafeTynemouth one of the top small venues in the area.
Supporting Indie Rockers The Sherlocks, Jim Valentine and Indie Punk Rockers Twisted Wheel..

Champagne Charlies take their inspiration from early new wave bands such as Elvis Costtello, The Jam and The Clash with a hint of noughties attitude from the sounds of The Libertines and The Strokes.
Following the release of their EP 'Experience Required' December 2014 the track 'Got myself to blame' was played by BBC Introducing Newcastle and local online station Chat & Spin got in on the action playing the track alongside another track of theirs called 'Jazzy’.
