Bored by the sleepy life provided by their hometown of Västervik, Sweden, childhood friends
Andreas Järvenpää and Jonas Nilsson began playing music together.
Inspired by the post-grunge scene of the mid-late 90’s, they started their first incarnation of the band at the age of 16. Changing the name of the group from Hysteria, to Yes please before finally settling for Causeries in 2010.
Percussionist David Nilsson joined the band in 2006 while keyboardist Sebastian Anderot joined in during 2015. The bass guitar was originally picked up by Marcus Andersson who were a member between 2006-2010. The successor was Björn Karlsson who came along in conjunction with the birth of Causeries following a move to Sweden’s second largest city, Gothenburg.
Rasmus Lindblom is the bass guitarist as of late 2016.
