Inspired by the enigmatic character from Robert W. Chambers' 'The King in Yellow', the band's sound attempts to emulate the same mystery and dissonance by treading the boundaries between psychedelic, gothic and stoner rock. Live, their explosive tendencies are balanced with flowing melodies and shimmering textures, like hearing Birds of Paradise call out longingly as they circle a city of oil silos.
