With so many opportunities for interaction provided by the Internet, it takes a bit of courage for these possibilities become real things and gain real world.
Carou Araújo is these people who have the courage bug. Light years ahead of the prejudices that usually hangs in empty independent labels as "indie", "MPB" or "rock", she moves in different parties and movements with elegance and irresistible charisma. Composing in partnership with musicians from various parts and various musical strands, often geographically distant, Carou promotes a collective art movement, through the Cabezas Flutuantes.
Dozens of musicians coming from various parts of Brazil and also Chile, Argentina and London participate in this project with lyrics, compositions and recordings. Carou gives links to songs, weaving a multitude of guitars, basses, drums and percussion recorded in various studios in the world, with its own universe of noises and melodies. Tiny keyboards ally with effect pedals and other homemade electronic instruments - built and manipulated by Carou own - to create a background noise that embraces from the distorted guitar of O Estrangeiro until the sweet guitar Machucadinho .
If you are reluctant to listen Cabezas Flutuantes to be a project that involves noise and experimentalism, forget prejudice and press play - you will be amazed how you will feel at home with these songs. Be in the urban jungle or in a little place on the edge of the sea.
Carou have released in 2013 the debut album with 10 new songs: Registro. This album is full for download in the project site, along with videos, photos and text.
