Having performed under a variety of monikers together in recent years (including live performances on Channel 4, working with BBC One on a prime-time TV theme tune sync, international tour dates and support slots alongside bands such as Catfish & the Bottlemen, The Wombats, Reverend & The Makers, The Kooks & The Ordinary Boys), these three Merseyside lads can confidently say they have now discovered their true identity - and are looking forward to big things to come.
Bushes latest release 'Hurricanes and Fairytales' is the 5th in a series of singles to be released by the band, recorded at Monkey Heaven Recordings in Birkenhead by Kurran Karbal (Zuzu) and mixed by Harry Chambers (Hooton Tennis Club).
"By the progress since January of last year these are a trio to keep a firm ear out for and get to see in the early stages before ticket prices rises to – taking out a loan – levels." - emergingindiebands.com
“We detect influences of bands like The Cribs, Jimmy Eat World and Weezer in Bushes guitar-driven sound. They’ve managed to forge awesome alt-rock melodies, complemented by thumping basslines and a distinct vocal line, to create something new, exciting and attention-grabbing” XuneMag.com
“Bushes are both melodically guitar-laden, yet complete with enough alt-rock to give them edge. The harmonies are pleasingly infectious.” LittleIndieBlogs
"An awesome guitar-heavy band with infectious harmonies" The Revue
"These are the nicest guys in the world, such good songwriters too" - Zuzu (quoted in Wonderland Magazine)
